Cleaning InstructionsMaintaining your canopy and curtainsTo extend the effective life of your canopy and curtains, a very simple regular maintenance program should be implemented. As a general rule cleaning should take place very six months. In areas where pollutants are more prevalent, such as beachfront houses and industrial or geothermal areas then a cleaning program should be carried out on a more frequent basis i.e. every three months. The effect of ultra violet light, atmospheric pollution, dirt, grime and airborne salt deposits can all accumulate over time and should be removed at regular intervals. Cleaning your powder coated framework:-1) Carefully remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge. 2) Use a soft brush (non abrasive) and a mild household detergent solution to remove dust, salt and other deposits. 3) Rinse off with clean fresh water. NB: If your frame work is accidentally scratched, don’t panic, Dulux colour Repair Kits are available in all colour card colours. Feel free to give us a call and we can supply you with a kit to match your framework. Cleaning and caring for your roof and curtains:-1) Roof canopy fabric can be cleaned in a number of ways:- a) By using a waterblaster. b) With a soft broom and mild detergent, rinsed off well with clean fresh water. c) By using a commercial house cleaning company. 2) Curtains can be cleaned with a soft cloth (avoid using brushes to avoid scratching the PVC) and mild household detergent and rinsed off well with clean fresh water. NB: it is a good idea to hose down first. 3) Clear curtains can also be cleaned using Methylated Spirits or a mild window cleaner and a soft cloth to bring them back to look like new. NB: Ensure that your curtains are completely dry before rolling them up thus avoiding the clear PVC going cloudy when the moisture is wrapped inside the roll. Should you have any queries at all regarding your canopy or curtains, please do not hesitate to call us and ask our advice. We are happy to help. |
